Privacy Policy

We love our site and are very happy to see you drop by or sign up. As we interact with you, we collect personal information about you, and we have drafted this policy to set out how we manage the personal information we receive. Given some of the awesome content on our site, we think it is important to be transparent about how we use your information.

As an overview, we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information for the purpose it was supplied for, to let you know about our products and services and/or to provide our services. This means you may receive updates from us or emails about our content or activities from time to time. You can always opt out of our emails and we remove email addresses from our communications list when asked. Our full contact details are at the end of this policy.

We do not sell or give away access to the personal information you provide to us.

This policy applies to your use of our website (‘site’) and related public access areas and covers visitors, regular users and subscribed users of our site. By visiting or using our site or subscribing to our services, you consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as set out in this policy. If you do not consent to any of the terms of this policy, please do not provide any personal information to us or subscribe to our services.

Staying Anonymous

You can browse this site anonymously (although our cookies may identify and use your IP address). If you identify yourself to us, at that point we will collect your personal information. If you sign up to become a member or subscriber, we will let you use an alias when you use our site or interact with others. For billing purposes though, we must collect and use your real name, address and contact details.

Collecting personal information

At all times we try to only collect the minimum amount of information we need to provide you with information you have requested, market our services or provide our services.

The main way we collect personal information about you is when you give it to us, for example:

  • when you contact us (for example you might provide your email address and name)
  • when you submit information to our website (for example if you post comments on our site)
  • when you ask for access to the information we hold about you

Indirect collection

Other than as set out in this policy, we aim to only collect information directly from you.

Social Networking, public forums and links to other websites

We may provide links to other websites, blogs or forums or use social networking services including Twitter and Facebook or provide community notice boards or comments sections on our website (collectively called ‘public access areas’). When you communicate with us using public access areas, we may collect your personal information. Any information you make available, including your personal information, will be available for public viewing. Even after you terminate your account with us, information you have posted on public access areas may still be viewable. By using public access areas, you agree your use is at your own risk and that we are

not responsible for any information that you disclose or communicate or the consequences of that disclosure.

For your own safety, we strongly recommend you never disclose personal information on public access areas.

Collecting sensitive information

We do not actively collect sensitive information about you. Sensitive information is information about your health, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or criminal history. We will take steps to appropriately protect any sensitive information we do receive. Given the nature of our site, inferences could be made about your sexual preferences based on your user history. This is a relatively low risk however if this is important to you, please consider how you use our site and the information you make available.

Our site is not designed for, or intended to be used by, persons under the age of 18. If you are a visitor to our site and you are under the age of 18, we request that you do not use our site, do not comment in any of the public access areas and do not provide your personal information. If we unintentionally collect information about a person under the age of 18 and become aware they are under 18, we will take steps to delete that data where possible.

If you are a parent or guardian and find your minor has given their personal information to us (particularly if we may not be aware they are a minor), please contact us immediately so we can delete their data where possible. Importantly, if a minor has posted information to a public access area, we may not be able to remove their information.

If you provide us with a testimonial, you give us your consent for the use of your either your name or your alias, image (if supplied) and the date to be displayed on our website or in our other marketing material, together with the content of the testimonial that you provide.
